Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of HeatView. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
HeatView provides privacy-first website analytics, including heatmaps, session recordings, funnels, form analytics and surveys. We may update or improve the service over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a contract in your country.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no illegal activity, no attempts to break or overload the service, and no collecting data you are not entitled to collect. You must have the right to install HeatView on any site you add, and you are responsible for informing your visitors and obtaining any consent required by law.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of your data and of the visitor data you collect. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. For visitor data, you are the data controller and HeatView acts as a processor on your behalf.
5. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. Fees are shown on the Pricing page. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
7. Intellectual property
HeatView and its software, design and content remain our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service while your account is active.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, HeatView is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and disputes will be handled by the courts having jurisdiction there.
